Privacy notice

What we collect, and what we do with it.

Short version: this site has one form on it, and two buttons that hand you over to Stripe to pay. Fill the form in and your name, business name and email come to us by email so we can send you the roadmap you asked for. Buy a build or a retainer and Stripe takes the payment — we never see your card details.

What this site actually collects

There are three ways personal data reaches us from getoffload.co.uk.

The cost calculator on the home page runs entirely inside your browser. Dragging the sliders sends nothing to us or to anyone else — there is no request made and no figure stored.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Replying to you and sending the roadmap you asked forLegitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR. You asked us to get in touch about your business, and we have a plain interest in answering you. You can object at any time and we'll stop.
Quoting for work, and doing the work if you hire usPerformance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one — Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR.
Taking payment for a build or a retainerPerformance of a contract — Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR. Keeping the resulting invoice and payment records is a legal obligation — Article 6(1)(c).
Keeping the site online, fast and free of abuseLegitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f). We need a host, and a host needs to log requests.

We don't make automated decisions about you, we don't profile you, and we won't put you on a marketing list you didn't ask to be on.

Who else sees it

We don't sell personal data, we don't rent it, and we don't pass it to anyone beyond the list above.

How long we keep it

Audit submissions and email enquiriesUp to 24 months after we last spoke, then deleted.
Records for clientsSix years after the end of the work, because tax and accounting rules require us to keep the paperwork.
Payment and invoice recordsSix years from the end of the accounting period they fall in, because HMRC requires it. Held by us and, separately, by Stripe on its own schedule.
Server logsHeld by Vercel on its own retention schedule, which we don't set or control.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for: access to the personal data we hold about you; rectification if it's wrong; erasure; restriction of how we use it; portability of data you gave us; and you can object to processing we've based on legitimate interests.

Email info@shipitstudio.co.uk. It's free, and we'll respond within one month.

If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. You don't have to raise it with us first, though we'd like the chance to fix it.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. That's why there's no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.

Two third parties are contacted by your browser when a page loads: Google, for the fonts, on every page; and Vercel, for the analytics script, on the home page only. If either of them stores anything in your browser, that is theirs rather than ours. Blocking both won't break anything here.

Following a buy button takes you to Stripe's checkout, which is a different site on Stripe's own domain. What Stripe stores in your browser once you are there is Stripe's, governed by Stripe's privacy policy, and nothing to do with this one.
